1974 MK1 RS2000 in Black, which im told is quite rare. This car has covered 96000 miles , has had 7 previous owners and looks a very original old car. We have the V5 stating RS2000 but no other history. It starts runs and drives but doesnt appear to have been used for a while.

Body - Mk1 RS2000 with all the correct brackets and strengthening. VIN number still present on inner wing, which looks original and not perfect like a lot of restored cars.It looks like the original vin plates and the codes all tie up to an Rs2000 and colour code is Y which is "non standard". Solid car underneath which has had repairs on front floors in the past and the floor to sill areas along the side. It all looks solid enough but the repairs look older and not invisible. Underneath is an underseal finish rather than painted. Paintwork is very good. Definitely not been painted recently but presents very well. Only a few very minor marks but no sign of any bubbling or rust. Bumpers are good but not mint. This car looks to have been fitted with the pinstripes rather than the wide decals. RS2000 badges also look original.

Mechanics - All looks to be standard spec with the correct RS mounts, sump, bellhousing, tramp bars, air filter etc. All I can see non standard is the 4 branch manifold. The car starts and runs and sounds well. Engine is quiet. I've moved it around the industrial estate and the gearbox, brakes and clutch are good. As im not sure when it was last on the road properly there will be an element or recommissioning to be done.

Interior - Correct RS seats and again the covers look original. Perfectly useable and tidy but not as crisp as a new set. Slight bit wear on piping on drivers bolster. Black headlining, original door cards. 6 dial dash which all works. Bit wear on the silver rings round the instruments. Small crack on dashtop on top of binnacle. Centre console is there with the clock but clock not working. Original jack in the boot

Wheels - Genuine 5.5 inch MK1 RS Alloys x 5 with correct centre caps. Tyres are ok treadwise but look a bit dated. No damage on wheels.

This is a very original old car and super rare in Black. You will get much shinier examples especially underneath. If thats your preference please check out our green one.
